LILIUM Jet | World's first Flying Taxi with Five Seat

A startup company in Germany named ‘Lilium’ has introduced a taxi which has flying capability. This company mainly deals with Air Taxi. From May 2019, Lilium has tested successfully such type of taxi that can fly automatically. They were successfully able to fly the taxi during the test and land safely after some time floating on the sky.



  • The number of seats in this taxi is five that mean 5 people will be able to get on it as passenger and this type of taxi is the first in the world.

  • Total 36 independent Electrical Engines have been installed in this jet. These engines don’t create such type of noise like helicopter or other jet.

  • Once the taxi gets charged, it will be able to fly 300 kilometers distance.

  • The Lilium Taxi is being certified by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in Europe and by the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) in USA.

Lilium's co-founder and chief executive Daniel Wiegand said about this innovation that 36 electric motors were used in this air taxi and with the help of these engines, it is flying and landing. The company will start production of this flying taxi in huge quantities by 2020.
